Starting on pointe will be determined by Mrs. Dominique. Usually young ladies at the age of 10 will be considered for pre or beginner pointe. After the decision is made by Mrs. Dominique, she will send you to be measured at the stores she recommends. All shoes must be sewn at the Shoe Doctor in Morgan City.
Pointe is a separate class from regular class. It is ongoing art form that must be taken seriously by the young dancer. Plenty of hard work, dedication, and patience make a great pointe dancer. Pointe is an individual sport and the improvement of skill depends on the dancer. Proper dance attire is a MUST in pointe class. Hair MUST be in a bun at all times and tights must be worn. At the end of the year Mrs. Dominique has the last decision if the pointe student will dance in the Spring Production. If you are interested in pointe, please note that in your registration form.
Please take your shoes to the Shoe Dr. on Ditch Avenue to be properly sewn.
